Emulex Corporation calls its new LightPulse 16Gb Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters the fastest FC HBAs announced, able to deliver over one million I/O per second (IOPS) on a single port. Already being sampled by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), the single-channel LPe16000 and dual-channel Lpe16002 adapters will be available later this quarter.
